FUNERAL LUNCHEON COMMITTEE: Over the past four years the Communion of Saints’ Funeral Luncheon Committee has grown from an idea to a group of volunteers who provide their time to facilitate luncheon receptions in Walsh Hall following funerals. Families experiencing the loss of a loved one are offered this invaluable service as they are making funeral arrangements. Those who wish to take advantage of this service first coordinate the details with the caterer of their choice and then provide the information to our volunteers who take over from there.
The volunteers prepare the hall, provide coffee and tea, welcome and assist the caterer, help serve, and then clean up at the end of the reception. These dedicated volunteers make it possible for family and friends to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family during a very stressful time. Many families who have taken advantage of this ministry have been positively overwhelmed by the service of our volunteers.
As our service grows, so does our need for additional volunteers. Members of our parish looking to volunteer their time are encouraged to contact Nell Ginley at firstname.lastname@example.org or 216-321-0024.
Those experiencing the loss of a loved one and interested in hosting a luncheon following the funeral service should contact Christian Gracie at email@example.com or 216-321-0024.
Bereavement Ministry: Volunteers serve as Eucharistic Minister, readers and ministers of hospitality at funerals. To be placed on the call list for this ministry, please call the rectory
