The Father Michael Wittman Ozanam Center
The Father Michael Wittman Ozanam Center is a food pantry and clothing bank under the sponsorship of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Cleveland Council which operates every Saturday on the campus of St. Philomena. 15 parishes and other organizations volunteer to staff the center and manage its operations. The center provides food and clothing to clients from 7 nearby zip codes. About 24 volunteers are needed each week to operate the center.
COS volunteers are need at the Fr Michael Wittman Ozanam Center for 2016 on the following dates: Feb 17, Mar 26, Apr 16, May 21, June 25, July 16, Aug 20, Sept 24, Oct 29, Nov 26, Dec 24, and. Dec 31. To volunteer come to St. Philomena Church at 9:30am and be prepared to stay until 1:00pm. Volunteer activities are packing and distribution of groceries, sorting and distribution of clothing, produce distribution, hospitality assistance and computer registration and check-in of the many clients who come to us. All ages are welcome. Children under 14 must be accompanied by parents or another adult.
We are in need of seasonal appropriate clothing for ALL ages and genders. Clothing may be dropped off at the Center any Saturday between 10:00am and 1:00pm. We have seen a steady increase in requests from clients. Thank you for all that you do to support this outreach program.
